Al Shabaab sambusa ban ‘linked to symbol’

Somali militant group al Shabaab may have banned the making and sale of samosa, a popular snack in the war-torn country, because of its shape, linking it to a Christian symbol.


The ban on samosa, a pastry often stuffed with minced meats and vegetables, comes amid a devastating famine that is sweeping across the country.


No reasons were given for the bizarre move, announced by militants in vehicles mounted with loudspeakers.


However, residents of a south Mogadishu settlement and Afgoye, a town 30 kms south of the capital where the ban was imposed speculated that the Islamists may have associated the triangle-shaped snack with a symbol of Christianity that is not compatible with their strict version of Islam.


In the past, the group, which is fighting to overthrow the Transitional Federal Government, has banned watching football on TV and playing music on radio.


It has also ordered men to grow beards and women not to wear bras.

I do not know their name but i know there are good people among those people who you call mulla.
Because i know bad people always get media coverage but good people don't.
That's no answer.Because if you really hated mulla because of 35000 men and women then america has killed more then that in shape of their drones.Killed innocent children and women and men.But i do not find you calling them dogs and spitting hate against them.

It is a very solid reason for genuine Pakistanis who are born and bred in Pakistan dude. No there can be no matti pao till each and every cell of mullaism is not dipatched to a harmless zone. Future mullas will be told by their moms to sleep sleep otherwise Pakistanis will come and eat you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude I have answered this question many a times on this forum and am not going to repeat the exercise. Though can answer in yes or no if you ask me about ay individual or trait. At last you answer one of my quetion.So the bottom line is that any guy with the beard who talks about islam is a mullah in your eyes.I will not talk about music is allowed in islam or not.mayb we can discuss this some other time cos this thread is getting long.
