One killed, dozens injured in series of blasts in Karachi
KARACHI: One person was killed and dozens others injured in a series of five blasts that ripped through different areas of the busiest city of the country on Monday.

Two explosions occurred here in Banaras area. One of the blasts happened in a pile of garbage while the other one at a footpath near Banaras chowk, injuring 16 people. They were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, sources said.

Enraged people took the streets and started pelting stones at moving vehicles.

The third explosion ripped through a mini truck in North Nazimabad area of Shahra-e-Noor Jehan near Sohail mosque. Five persons were injured, police sources said. However, Chhipa sources said 8 persons were taken to hospital.

There are reports of the fourth blast in Hyderi area near a children’s school.

Police mobiles have reached the blasts’s sites while ambulances are shifting the injured to local hospitals.

The fifth blast occurred here in a motor cycle in Qasba colony area, killing one person.

Police and Rangers have been put on high alert in the city following the series of blasts.

Emergency has been declared in local hospitals.

thats really a sad news i m just afraid that if its going the same thing that has happened last year . series of blasts :O first in ISB then 5 Karachi and news in Jang that two suspicious wagons have entered in Punjab.

The blasts were all in a Pathan and the areas where mostly Pathans are in majority remember that.

These blasts were not to kill but to terrorise.

People from tribal areas will be provided with shelter, but not at the cost of the ‘Talibanisation’ of Sindh, especially Karachi, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said Sunday, while addressing traders and businessmen on the phone from London.

“The country is already confronted with economic woes, but now the Taliban have become the biggest threat to the country,” he said. A conspiracy was being hatched to besiege Karachi through the network of Taliban and this would never be allowed, the MQM chief said.

He appealed to traders and industrialists to help the MQM curb Talibanisation in Karachi, because, according to him, they would suffer just as much as the rest of the citizens if the Taliban occupied the city.

Hussain demanded that the government take stern action against elements occupying lands illegally in Karachi, as well as those involved in loot, plunder, robberies, extortion and kidnapping for ransom.

How very kind of the terrorists only one died ahhhhh....
only over 47 injured many children ....ahhh no problem they live ...

How can this be a valid argument, 'because there aren’t many dead hence makes it less condemnable'

The bombs are very small thats the thing, and before GEO put this i said this is all in Pathan Majority Areas to terrorise.

And many are not dead because the bombs are very small.

These exact type of random attacks happened in Peshawar about 2 years back, when the Taliban had found supporters in the city and begun a campaign of intimidation and violence.

I think unfortunately the same is now happening in Karachi. We have seen reports of posters up in the city with Taliban groups warning people to dont do this or dont do that. Next expect attacks on barbershops and CD shops.

These blasts were "practice" attacks.

We were lucky and thanks God for that. good thing is we all condemn it and even though the bombs were small or how ever we put it.
An innocent soul lost is a tragedy. The thing I wanted to put forward was we should not be counting the bodies but condemning the sickness of the mind that did it.

They Should be upload at any Video Hosting site like google, yahoo, youtube etc.
Paste URL of the Video in ur thread ( url in address bar for google, yahoo, youtube,) for someothers there must be "EMBED CODE" you can paste that too ( But no HTLM)

For Pictures:
They Should be on any web site, then Copy that image & Paste here in ur thread
or
Upload Your Image at our Photo Gallery
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
& Then follow as in image below

just few days before nazim Karachi said on media, that Karachi is under the threat of talibanization.how this intelligent, so called liberal,who belong to the most peaceful organization like MQM & the most active supporter of so called war against terrorism by mush & bush, knows ?
its very clear MQM is pretty satisfied with AZ & ESTABLISHMENT they just need international attention, they just send the impression to US, they are suffering by Taliban & need American help in war against terrorism.
we all know their is no such thing as terrorism or talibanization in Pakistan.
its just label to bomb any town or capture any Pakistani civilian, when ever you want, without any notice. Pakistani’s are over all victim of corruption, our alqaeda is corruption, our terrorist are sitting in parliment,not in fata,lal masjid or Karachi.

oh shasnahn i think u r taliban agent because u know much more than a normal person or may be security person . taliban don't have control on NWFP and they started to think about karachi .

where u seen these posters in which taliban giving warning to ppl of khi can u plz show us ....

PTDC Hotel burnt down, people butchered in public, over a dozen Girls schools burnt down the list goes on and it is in all the news from past few months…
I would call it a compliment when you call Shasnahn a security person.
But you definitely are a product of the Taliban. And no doubt you would take that as a compliment.

whats hapeing in some agenices doesnt mean Taliban have control it meanz ur Govt is doin nothing over there . and mind ur lanugaue i m never a part of talbian but thing is this . do u have any proof that girls school have burnt down by Taliban bcoz in Capital talk some of ur elected Govt officials said . it was not taliban who kidnapped and who burnt school . . i dont think i have to believe u .. bcoz if elected ppl saying then ihave to beleive bcoz me and many more like me has elected them and we trust them . :D

u r not elected by any one u are not a security agent who the hell u are ? a normal paksitan who just get information frm cnn bbc or pakistani media and watever they say u have to believe ..

or if its like that then i have referenced Capital talk in which ANP offical said it was not taliban . so why dont u just Shut ur mouth and come again with some Facts...
