I may clarify I am not questioning about Islamist view point but I saw numerous explanation of Christian and Jewish faith and other beliefs but none from our scholars. So I asked question out of curiosity rather than espousing cause of seculars

What nonsense! Only Allah know when Qiyamat will come and no one else, not even prophets or angels.

There have been several of these doomsday theories in the past. Same is the case with aliens landing on earth. They are nothing more than entertainment documentaries so don't take it any more than that.

Alla (God) only knows wen is doomsday (Qiyamat). Quran says Alla is 'Alam-ul-gaib' (knower of future and unseen). As muslims we believe Quran a true word of God. So all future forcasting and fortune telling not compatible to Islam.

7 years rule of Imam Mehdi (RA)
40 years rule of Hazart Issa (AS)
before Qayamat.

I believe, this is going to be an interesting century for mankind. It will see a lot of bloodshed, wars, then a time of peace will come, the END RESULT will be happiness for humanity INSHALLAH according to sayings of Muhammad (SAW)

There are a lot of things that have to happen before the qayamat...all the signs that Prophet Muhammas (pbuh) told us....some of them are already happened, rest will happen.

if I take "Qiyamat" as "Mahawra" (i.e. we use in everyday), then yes, the Qayamat for muslim world is about to come in near future (could be 2012).....when we will see a LOT of bloodshed....and that will happen when Israel wages a GREAT war over muslims in order to establish greater israel and to become a ruling state in the world....it will also the "qayamat" for the united states as well, as they will no longer remain a ruling state.....there will be shifting of power from US to israel. This all has to happen because the "Dajjal" will deceive the world by saying that he's the "Massiah"...and in order to claim that he has to rule the world first....and to rule the world he has to first control the economy (which they already controlling by their banking system), natural resources (some of which they are already controlling like "gold/diamond" mines...and they will soon attempt to control the oil ) of the world!

Doomsday is BERHAQ so we should not look around for predictions of any kind. Important thing is that every one of us should get him/herself ready for the day which ALLAH has promised.
