Even in 1946 he as a leader of Muslim league agreed with cabinet mission plan which gave more rights to Muslims within India and not in a seperate state but congress rejected it, hence only way was a new Muslim state.
He had gone back to England because hardly anyone was listening to him even in his own peers in Muslim league. It was not only Allama Iqbal but also some other Muslim leaders who persuaded Quaid-e-Azam to come back. Yes Allama Iqbal was great thinker and philosopher but Quadi-e-Azam was a man of his own. Leaders of Muslim league including Allama Iqbal knew very well that he is the only one who can lead the fight for the rights of Muslims becuase he showed it to every body during his entire period in politics till 1931 that how passionately, aggresiverly and logically he fights the case of Muslims. Naturally two great personalities of that time would have affected each other but saying that all was prepared for him is totally wrong. Infact his due status was recognised at that time and he proved later though his efforts that he was a great leader.

Along with Allama Iqbal, we should also read detailed life of Qauid-e-Azam(his speeches, his letters, his talks). There is a lot to learn from both. Quadi-e-Azam is more practical and we can get implementation details of a struggle.
