    Re: 50 Minutes 16 August 2008

The survival of Islamic Republic of Pakistan is in the ideology purported and followed by Zia ul Haq and Nawaz Shariff. This program is another attempt by Jewish and Hindu Zionists to fuse our islamic ideology with neocon propoganda. Good evil effort but People of Pakistan will not buy ur argument. Science and technology are product of Islam and We can make much better advancment in these areas if we are governed under Islamic Political, social and economic system. (Molvi Saab Zindaabad)

please bring real islamic scholors to discuss and educate this big and important issue.
Secondly, there are two terms: Jihad and Qital. Qital is for fighting and Jihad means to struggle. Thirdly, host of this program takes more time to talk by himself.

    Re: 50 Minutes 16 August 2008

hey one thing i would like to add that i know the host of this program a little and i dont think he is secular minded anyway he is a follower(mureed) of Maulana Ahmed javedof hamzanama and he is the father of that kid hamza. I think we should not start criticise on every thing and sould learn abt our religion on our own. We dont have to rely on our molvis or seculars minded to taught us the religion.

how are science and technology a product of Islam? It is not the objective of Islam to build you big bridges or discover how to split the atom. Islam is only concerned with worship and morals.

hmm...perhaps you could point me to a book or website that would explain your point more bro.

The almost entire contribution in the last 500 years to science, knowledge and technology has come from the West, which doesnt follow Islam. That fact does not make a Muslim like me uncomfortable because in my view, religions are concerned primarily with proper worship, and morals and values in a person and society. Religions also describe in a broad manner how the world was created and how it will end. But that is very different from science or technology. Science is ultimately the discovery of what God has already created, but that can be done by a person who have never read the Quran, as we have seen in the last 500 years.

Not only that your knowledge is inferior to that of my custodian, but also that the slogan of your's ' Close Mindedness " serves best to some one none other than you.

    And why?

Lemme give you a hint... When some one suggests you to actually go ahead and READ the historical archives, it's meant to be taken seriously.
And you would know how exactly, even before 500 years, EUROPE is so much indebted to the so called Muslims, for all their science and technical prosperity.

And puhleeeze... if you can, then act a bit sane. Well, as i said IFF...so go ahead give yourself a try.

    Well I would not..
    Reason:
If one has closed his eyes & still insisting "NO NO NO this is not how u are telling"
Then no one can force one to open one's eye & insist to accept the realities.

well I fully acknowledge the contribution made by earlier Muslims to science, but science itself existed long before they did, and science & technology has continued to advance long after Muslims have ended any contribution to it.

Earlier Muslim contribution to science is because the rulers of that time valued scholarship and promoted it in their reign. Today no such rulers or scholarship exists in the modern Muslim world, rather they exist in the West, which is the reason the West continues to make contributions to science.

Islam encourages education for boys and girls, and so lays the foundation for enlightenment and scientific progress, but ultimately it is the culture of a nation and the priorities of its rulers that determine whether that nation will advance in science, technology or innovation. Such a culture does not exist in the Muslim world today. That is not the fault of Islam.

Well my dear? Then what are we actually arguing upon?
This statement of yours is quite a contradiction to the ones earlier. And I see no point in dragging this brainless junk any further.

You ask for enlightenment, it might come, and it might not. Just as Allah Al Mighty has said... And if he wishes to enlighten some one's heart and he does, and if he wishes to drag some one into the mud of darkness and so he shall. (And if HE does, there's no one in the entire universe who could make one see)

    Simple.
