Microsoft has revealed its new Windows logo!
The new design, which was developed by the Pentagram design agency, is intended to reflect the sweeping changes Microsoft has made to the OS, and its new ‘Metro' design style, which the company says makes bold use of colour, typography and motion to bring a fresh approach to the user experience.

Lets see if this windows is worth using, personally Mujhey Windows XP ke baad hardly pasand ayi!

Re: Are you ready for Windows 8?

The most important expectations that are driving high on Windows 8 is that it should be much more efficient, visually appealing and should have a stream lined navigation. However Windows 8 still has two years ahead of it beta release in 2012, which means that any technological developments that we are witnessing in terms of 3D technology and cloud computing, will play a major role in Windows 8 development.

But, you really need a good PC specification to have a good experience with Windows 8. I'm sticked with Windows7 for the last 2 year

Re: Are you ready for Windows 8?

As per requirements of Windows 8 goes, only stuff which is high is WDDM 1.0 support driver not less otherwise all requirements are pretty less.
Like Windows 7 64-bit uses around 450 MB RAM without any third software (fresh install Windows) but Windows 8 uses around 250 MB. Its Application suspend feature is also amazing. Also it uses around 20 MB less VRAM for desktop aero theme which means more VRAM for Games.

Waiting for its Consumer Preview release on 29th February, will try in Virtual Box. I recently got Product key of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit so may not switch to pirated stuff.

Windows Vista was a big flop!!

    Windows 7 is much better!
Windows 8 is going to connect multiple platforms.....
Windows 8 is expected to be launched later this year, and is intended to have native compatibility with tablet PCs, to run on those devices as well as laptops and desktops. The OS features a new ‘Metro' interface, which uses tiles

Re: Are you ready for Windows 8?

I have both windows 7 and Windows 8 in my laptop on dual boot .
Windows 8 is faster than 7 but am not very impressed with Windows 8 Metro Ui Start Menu and overall 8 is ok but i don't think after using it you will be happy . because it is bit hard to use .

lets wait for the final Release ..

    Windows 7 = FTW
