Current Events needs a major clean up

I have been a long time viewer, then finally decided to join as a registered member in January. But I have avoided participating thus far. I'll be quite honest, the number of loose-cannon trolls that are currently running around in Current Affairs section is the reason why many of the articulate members might not want to start a factual discussion. Just take a look at any number of threads opened by usual suspects like dachiexpress, manif, and other thugs, and all you see if degrading language, insulting remarks to anyone that presents a different point of view, and least of which is not even the amount of garbage that these guys post.

I've always appreciated having a resource like FriendsKorner for everything from entertainment, to being able to watch talk shows. But, there is more room for improvement. I realize it is hard for the moderators to police everyone all the time, but my humble suggestion to the Moderators Team and Administrators is to please for the sake of maintaining standards, get rid of these trolls that are degrading the quality of Forum. They really add nothing, and instead repel anyone that wants to discuss something in a humane, and civilized manner. Nightrunner was very understanding of this problem when I last spoke to him in a discussion that he was a part of. I do sympathize with him, and see his point of view. But something must be done. Add more team members if that's what it takes. At least temporarily.

I wouldn't be surprised if they turn up here and start their usual sarak-chaap, 3rd class grammar here too.

Thank you. Much love to FK. InshaAllah it will improve. Just needs a major clean up.

PS: I would gladly have posted specific links to support my claim, but because I do not have enough posts, i'm unable to post links. But all it takes is a quick glance at any given number of threads open in Current Affairs section, and it's all evident.

I am agree with you that we need to maintain our standards and there is room for improvement. As far as these people go, we can't ban them without any reason, I only see few people reporting abusive and other personal attack comments while mostly people sit silent until someone not involve them. We as a FK team need little help from you people also that you report us back with such stuff.
No need to post thread links as a proof, we already know enough. Also you need to complete 10 posts to able to post links, it is done to avoid spammers.
If they derail this thread, I will take care of them, nothing worry.

By the way, Thanks a lot for your suggestions and feedback. Highly appreciate that.

JazakAllah for acknowledging my meager post. Your attention is much appreciated. Again, I totally appreciate what goes into moderating a vast forum like Friendskorner. But the beauty of the moderation is not to allow anyone to post any kind of language under the pretext that "We can't simply ban them without any reason". Yes, you can. You as the Administrator have the responsibility to filter content and block content at your discretion that brings down the quality of the forum.

For instance, just look at this link...and tell me it's not ban worthy?....

    forum/f137/news-dr-abdul-qadeer-khan-spills-beans-about-malik-riaz-279651/#post3443565

I'm not asking you to make any exceptions for anyone. Just asking that you please do whatever you can to limit the garbage that's littered all over the political discussion forum. I will do my part, as all other members to support your team, and continue to report posts.
