Indeed Kolkata, Jan 3: Pakistan produced yet another superb all-round performance to defeat India by 85 runs and take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match One Day Internationals' series. With this, Pakistan remained unbeaten against India at Eden Gardens, making it four in a row since 1987. Scorecard; Photos This was Pakistan's first ODI series victory in India since 2005 when they won 4-2 in a six-match series. During their last visit in 2007, they lost 2-3. Overall, this was third ODI bilateral series win for Pakistan in India. They had won 5-1 in 1986-87. In the first ODI, Pakistan won by five wickets in Chennai. The final match will be played in Delhi on January 6, Sunday. After Nasir Jamshed's century, the visitors' bowlers took charge. Fast bowlers Junaid Khan (3/39), Umar Gul (2/24) and offspinner Saeed Ajmal (3/20) put the brakes on India's scoring and were always in control of the match as the hosts chased 251. Mohammad Hafeez was equally good with figures of 1/29 off 10 overs. Jamshed won the Man-of-the-match award. From the lows of 29/5 in Chennai, Indian batting failed to improve. However, compared to Chennai, it was little better as they were 95/5 and further in doldrums at 132/9 in 40 overs. In the end, India were bowled out for 165 in 48 overs. Dhoni remained undefeated on 54, waging a lone battle. With wickets tumbling, captain MS Dhoni remained till the end with his 47th ODI half century but even he could not bail India out. Dhoni needed the middle order to give him company but that was not to be. Earlier, Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag had a quiet start in pursuit of 251. They played and missed a lot of deliveries against Mohammad Irfan and Junaid. The left-arm seamers did not allow the Delhi duo to score freely. Gambhir was the first to go, inside-edging a Junaid delivery. Virat Kohli chased a wide ball on leg-side and Kamran Akmal completed an outstanding diving catch to his left to give Junaid his second scalp. Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh too departed to leave India at 70/4 in 18.5 overs. Dhoni and Suresh Raina had a brief resistance before the left-hander was brilliantly stumped out by Akmal. R Ashwin, batting ahead of Ravindra Jadeja, struggled for 22 balls scoring 3 runs before he was stumped off Shoaib Malik. Pakistan make 250 Pakistan opener Jamshed (106) hit his second successive One Day International century but India hit back through Ravindra Jadeja (3/41) and Ishant Sharma (3/33) to restrict the visitors to 250 all out in 48.3 overs. It was a perfect platform laid out by openers Jamshed (106) and Mohammad Hafeez (76). The duo put on 141 runs for the first wicket in 23.5 overs. When they were batting, Pakistan were on course for a score of over 300. But Jadeja changed that equation. The left-arm spinner first dismissed Hafeez bowled and added two more in one over as Pakistan collapsed after a strong start. Left-handed Jamshed was again in top form right from the word go. After an unbeaten hundred in Chennai in first ODI, the 23-year-old stroked his third career ODI ton, all against India. Overall this was Jamshed's third straight three-figure mark against India. He had hit one in March last year in Asia Cup. In his other game, he had an undefeated half century. His sequence of scores against India are 53 not out, 112, 101 not out and today 106. In overcast conditions, India bowlers hope to get more swing out of the two new balls. But there was very little on offer and Pakistan openers raced to 59/0 in 10 overs of powerplay. The trend continued with Hafeez being the aggressive between the two. But later, the pitch started to turn and Jadeja joined the wicket-taking act. Ishant was good in the early stages and then returned to polish off the tail as Pakistan failed to bat out their full quota of 50 overs. Pakistan lost all their 10 wickets for 109 runs, from 141/0 to 250 all out.
