| Parliament’s in-camera session at 5-00 pm today ISLAMABAD: The in-camera session of the Parliament will be held today at 5-00 pm and all preparations for the in-camera joint session of the Parliament have been completed.On the prime minister’s directives, invitations have also been issued to 17 such personalities who are not the members of the national assembly or the senate.Acting speaker of the national assembly Faisal Karim Kundi has issued the invitations to these 17 personalities. Prominent among them are Pakistan Muslim League (N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, all the four provincial chief ministers and the governors, prime minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Mohammad Ateeq Khan, Ameer Jamaat Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmed, chief Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan, chief Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Pakistan Maulana Anas Noorani, convenor APDM Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Balochistan leaders Ataullah Khan Mengal and Abdul Hai Baloch.Faisal Karim Kundi told in an exclusive interview to Geo News that this has been decided in the meetings between President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiani to include all the important political leaders in and outside the Parliament in formulating a policy on the safety of internal security and anti-terrorism.At the joint session of the Parliament, Pakistan Army’s Director-general Military Operations Major-general Shuja Pasha will give briefing on the internal threats and developments of FATA and Swat operations.Later, the speaker will invite the parliamentary leaders of the national assembly for expressing their views after which the members of the Parliament will be allowed to question.The session of the Parliament may continue to the next day.
