| Tut: Chain-Making in Adobe Photoshop Assalam O Aliukum, Today we are going to make chain in adobe photoshop.. 1: use the Rounded Retangle-Tool to draw a shape like mine below ![]() 2: Use the same tool to cut out a shape of the larger one and create a new small shape. make both shapes on 2 different layers. ![]() 3: Add Style effects to these layers .. better use same style for both. Follow the instructions .. of blending option to make style for both layers: Inner Shadow: ![]() Outer Glow: ![]() Inner Glow: ![]() Bevel and Emboss: ![]() Satin: ![]() Color Overlay: ![]() Stroke: ![]() 4: Now create a layer under one of the layers and merge one of them with that empty layer and do the same with the other. That way you will have 2 layers with no active styles. Then just duplicate them and rotate them After a while you will get something like this : Result: ![]() Keep repeating the steps, and rotate the chain as you want. Tip: to save the style you have chose in blending option you can simply go to the chain layer, any one of them and click on STYLE at left top corner, in left bar choose "New Style", it would give you a pop up window to name your style, type any name to remember and click ok on both windows. Your style is saved to use anytime, by this way you can save any style which you are making for your text at any image, any layer. Good luck, Waiting for your results.. ![]()

| Re: Tut: Chain-Making in Adobe Photoshop Quote:
okies .. transparent bg .. well .. i guessed thats too basic .. to tell everything from first step .. image size= your choice image bg= transparent image resolution= 72 shapes are available by shape icon in Tools choose one like this we have in step 1 in here. then draw the same shape once more but in smaller size then one we already drew. now cut the selected new shape by cut via layer. OR when you are done with making one shape. Resterize shape layer, choose ROUND SELECT TOOL, make round selection as we have shape not of same size but in smaller size, on the same layer. now right click in selected area. choose option "Layer Via Cut" now delete the surrounding area. For Chain connection shape. Choose the Round shape again on a new layer keep it little straight like > round corners but straight top and bottom. Once you are done with all work of these two layers including style. You can duplicate these layers as many times as you want to make a fast chain instead of repeating same steps. Now move and rotate as you want. I hope much explained now. Feel free to ask any further question.
