It was a media event not a truth making sermon. We should not defame our institutions, even some people from these institutions done wrong with the country. Just to clarify, he was mentioning about the Pak Navy's contribution against pirates. Pakistan can eliminate Aghan forces if they want, we are stuck with USA not Afghanistan, get your facts straight.

Pay particular attention to this... Think long and hard about what it really means? "And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon."

US deploys its biggest aircraft carrier near Gawadar
KARACHI - After failing to strike a deal on NATO supplies with Pakistan, the United States has moved its nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Enterprise into Pakistani territorial waters near Gawadar, according to media reports on Thursday. The ship’s deployment in Pakistan’s territorial waters is a violation of international laws. After the deployment of the aircraft carrier in Pakistani seas, the country’s security agencies are now investigating into the matter, sources said. They added that the movement apparently showed the increasing interest of the US in Balochistan province. “The US has moved its biggest aircraft carrier 65 to 70 nautical miles away from Gawadar in the second week of June,” a news website quoted its sources as saying. The USS Enterprise, which holds a crew of over 4,000, is a veteran of several wars.

1. USS Enterprise, technically known as CVN-65 Enterprise, is on a routine deployment near Arabian Sea. Here are details of her movement:
11Mar2012,
departed Norfolk on the final deployment
to the 5th and 6th fleet areas of operations,
in support of maritime security operations.
11Mar-22Mar2012, Lant
23Mar2012, transited through the Strait of Gibraltar
24Mar-27Mar2012, Med
28Mar-30Mar2012, Piraeus, Greece
31Mar-03Apr2012, Med
04Apr2012,
transited the Suez Canal, and entered the 5th Fleet AOR
04Apr-06Apr2012, Red Sea
07Apr2012, Arabian Sea
08Apr-15Apr2012, North Arabian Sea
16Apr-24Apr2012, Persian Gulf
25Apr-28Apr2012, Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates
29Apr-15May2012, North Arabian Sea
16May2012, Strait of Hormuz
17May-19May2012, Persian Gulf
20May-23May2012, Manama, Bahrain
24May-09Jun2012, Persian Gulf
12Jun-23Jun2012, North Arabian Sea
--------[ Schedule to the decommission ]----------
01Dec2012,
The Inactivation Ceremony will be held at Norfolk
source: CV Locations
Most important thing to note in the above schedule is that this 50 years old carrier is going to be decommissioned in December, 2012.
2. The news piece says "...65 to 70 nautical miles away from Gawadar"
According to United Nations Convention on the law of the sea, a belt of coastal waters extending at most 12 nautical miles (22 km; 14 mi) from the baseline is called territorial sea:
Breadth of the territorial seaEvery State has the right to establish the breadth of its territorial sea up to a limit not exceeding 12 nautical miles, measured from baselines determined in accordance with this Convention. (UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON THE LAW OF THE SEA)
65 to 70 nautical miles is more then five times the international limit. Hence this ship is in International waters.
3. When this news was written, USS Enterprise was near Persian Gulf. Amid tension near Persian Gulf, people were curious. USS Enterprise spokeswoman responded to queries that it was a routine deployment:
The U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet said on Tuesday the arrival of a second aircraft carrier last week to an area including the Gulf was part of a "routine, scheduled" deployment, after reports it was in response to heightened tension with Iran.
Iran spooked oil markets in late December when it threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, where a fifth of global oil exports passes, if there were any military strikes against the country or its nuclear facilities.
The dispatch of the USS Enterprise to the Fleet's area of operations was scheduled and routine, a spokeswoman said in response to queries about the arrival of the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier alongside another carrier in the area which includes the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf.
"The USS Enterprise/Enterprise Strike Group is on routine, scheduled deployment to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility," Commander Amy Derrick-Frost said.
"(It) does not indicate any change to our normal deployments and standard maritime operations... A two-carrier presence is not unusual and is very routine," she said.
(U.S. Fifth Fleet: Gulf carrier deployment "routine" - Yahoo! News)
Whoever has written this news has only created sensation and speculations. Besides, there is poor judgement about territorial waters and international maritime laws.
Worst of all, this old aircraft carrier is going to be decommissioned soon as it's maintenance is costing high dollars.

k-a-q
You can go tell your bosses that the above post is not supposed to be anti-US; it is supposed to point out weaknesses in the PAK navy. That is all. Tomorrow if the Russian Aircraft carrier sails into Pakistani waters and the Pakistani Navy is quiet about it, it won't be the Russian Navy's fault. Similarly, if the US boats are in Pakistani Waters, they are there because the PAK NAVY allows them to be there. So, don't worry; the US is not being blamed for anything at all at least in this post.

To clarify things once and for all, I do not really blame the US for the drone strikes, or anything else -for that matter - that is happening in Pakistan; I blame the Pakistani ruling elites for all of it. I know their (the elite's) mentality; I grew up among them in Islamabad; I know how they think, what their priorities are, and what lengths they are willing to go to please anyone who can either reward them with money, sex, fame, or power. Besides, US is not the only country they try to please. As you already know, there are many other (countries) on that list.

It is so funny that the Armed forces that can't defend their own borders are claiming to save the world with such itsy bitsy boats. Just look at these Pak Navy guy. They seem to be suffering from malneutrition and are completely out of shape. Any street thugh can mug them and they can't do anything about it. Save the world my foot.
