    Talking ~Cooking Tips & Tricks~

    Salam to all of you cooks out there .
    I am starting this new thread where we can share some cooking tips & tricks. Share any tips & tricks you think that will be helpful in the kitchen for new & old cooks
    So here we go.

    I will share the first tip






    Tip: If fish is to be stored for more than a day, clean it, rub with salt, turmeric and if liked, a dash of vinegar before freezing.

    Use vinegar before u wash the meat and add curdughurt while cooking .

    I tried vinegar while washing but nothing comes out anything good any other tarkeeb thanks

    u can use wheat flour also ,just take handfull of flour rub nicely and then wash the meat thoughly under running water

    I have one question i saw in some recipes of chicken in which they add cream in it but i dont understand what type of cream they used because in canada there r lots of cream like table cream, half and half cream, whip cream

    Its fresh cream or can say half cream ,whipped cream is used for cakes and pastries and table cream is for breakfast just as bread & butter .

    To store green chillies longer,remove the stalk and keep in tight glass bottles in the fridge.

    To keep green leave vegetables for longer wrap them in newspaper and then in plastic bag keep in fridge no worries

    Cooking:
    To get the most juice out of fresh lemons, bring them to the room temperature and roll them under your palm against the kitchen counter before squeezing.

    Tips For Puddings:
    1. Blend all ingredients together and keep overnight in a cool place. Use with any savoury dishes like pastas, minestrones, bakes, etc.
    2. Always sprinkle gelatine over the water. Never put in dry pan, then add water and heat.
    3. Never boil gelatine. Only warm to dissolve. Safest is to heat the container over a hot griddle (tawa). Stir always.
    4. While whipping cream never overdo it or butter will form. Always whip over a tray of iced water or ice cubes. Whip in sharp upward strokes till soft peaks form. Keep in refrigerator till used.

    If a curry turns out too salty, garnish it with some grated coconut mix with cumin powder.

    can any body tell me how to clean straws....i give shakes to my kid in bottle so sometime it gets stuck in straw......i kept straw in hot water but it didinot work....

    Heat your pan before putting things in it. When it is hot enough, add a greasing agent, like oils or butter. When that has reached the right temperature, then you can put your food it. Putting it in sooner will cause the food to dry.
